Believe to Achieve – The Uplifting Power of Faith

What’s the hardest part of achieving a goal?

For most of us, it’s not only getting started and taking that first step; it’s believing and having faith that you can achieve that goal.  I came across a great inspirational quote from Martin Luther King, Jr that I thought was very inspiring to help take that first step – “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.”

Everyday is a opportunity for a new beginning, to put the past behind you and start with a clean slate.

Don’t dwell on failures, but learn from your mistakes and be that much wiser for the days that lie ahead.  Although you may have a bit more of the past  literally behind you, as in attached to your behind – use that to fuel your efforts and to make you that much more determined to succeed.  You can leave your past, and behind, behind you.  Sometimes we feel like we have such a difficult climb, that it’s unachievable.

All you have to do is take a step – start walking, join a gym, enroll in an exercise class – just do it.

In taking a step you’re moving forward and you’re one step closer than you were before.  You’ll never get to the top of the staircase and achieve your goals unless you take the steps to get there.

You may not see the top of the staircase or be able see what you can achieve, but have faith that you will get there.

Believe in the fact that one day you will be at the top of that staircase and be able to look down and see how far you’ve come.  Believe it and you can achieve it.  Don’t let another day go to waist (or your behind).

Take a step today, do something that will get you one more step closer to the goals you want to achieve.
